Therapy with Dr. Jones

Online or in-person, psychotherapy is designated for individuals to process and explore their thoughts, emotions, and behavior. You’ll learn ways to effectively deal with emotions and life challenges, while becoming more integrated into what is authentic for you. Sessions will focus on a persons individualized needs and goals. Together we will collaborate to create a tailored approach to therapy to meet your needs. Typically, meetings are weekly or bi-weekly.

Clinical Focus and Background:

I am deeply passionate about helping people to live balanced and healthy lives.  I hold a doctoral degree in health science and a master’s degree in mental health counseling. I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Radically-Open DBT, DBT-Prolonged Exposure for post-traumatic stress disorder, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness. 

Mind/Body development is another one of my specialties. I use my experience teaching yoga, in combination with psychotherapy, to help clients to become more integrated in mind, body, and soul.  When appropriate, I utilize yoga postures and meditation during sessions for issues such as life stress, anxiety, body image issues, improving attention span and concentration, development of greater mind and body awareness and balance, and to use as a healthy coping mechanism to deal with difficult emotions.

Online or in-person, coaching will help you with what you care about the most, through the development of a plan to achieve your personal and professional goals. The coaching process provides tailored guidance, motivation, strategy, and skills training to help people reach their goals and create a life that is aligned with their values.

If you are feeling stuck, unmotivated, or unsure about how to move forward, coaching can help you to overcome obstacles, develop a clear path, and move in the direction of what matters most to you!
